OK we went out cage shopping today at our local bird stores/pet stores and I fell in love w/ a Kings cage but they want $400.00 for it and thats NOT in my budget right now, so I came home searched all the links that you all have given to myself and others and found this one! Remember I wont use the play top but I really do want this cage! Opinions?

(our stimulus check SHOULD be here next week and when it come I will be ordering my cage)

Is the bar spacing right and all that? I sure hope so I would LOVE to end my looking lol

this is the one I THINK lol

I think that cage is fine, but I am biased because ordered the Victorian top one from them. happy.gif

Side note: you should check on your shipment and if the tracking info isn't moving, contact them. I ordered a cage last week and the DHL notifications were still saying "Shipment Acknowledged". When I contacted them on Tuesday, the warehouse had run out and not let them know! They were great and ordered the cage through another warehouse and expedited shipping so it would get to us by Saturday.

Looks nice to me....

Here is another one similar price and very nice also (maybe even better than the one you have selected)..

Just a side note...someone posted a while back about that kind of legs on the cages being a problem with some birds getting stuck because of the V shape at the bottom of the legs. I have no idea where the post is but just so you know..be careful! other than that the cage looks nice smile.gif

I like this one much better if the bar spacing is suitable for your bird.

I have this one as well and I really like it.

As a matter of fact I received another one just today
for my new quaker coming home soon.

It is great. I cleaned it today as well and it was really
easy to clean. The actual bar spacing is really only 5/8 inbetween
so it is perfect.

If you are undecided on the other one you were looking at, you
should check out this one. the 2 I have in this are both SAND color
but it comes in many colors.

The playtop is a plus for us as my birds will end up staying out
all the time because I work out of my home so we are hear
24/7. The playtop is great.

However, my sun conure has taken to it so well (and its only been
a week) that he keeps going inside of it to play because he likes the room
in it.

We initially bought it for the quaker and "Sunny"my conure took it over instead.
So I just bought another one identical so they will have mathcing cages.

Ok so you have that cage let me ask you this, I cant stand to have the play area catch pan on, is the top of the cage "wire" or is the top pan the actual top of the cage?
Majj
Why wouldn`t you use the pan to catch the mess before it drops onto th stuff in the cage ..???
Just line it with newspaper then roll up a sheet at a time to keep it clean..
Nikki-n-Shane
Elliots cage came with a a pan for under the play top and personally I dont use it. I would rather not clean two pans and that way he can see up when he is in the cage. Its not problem with the poop he usually has good aim smile.gif
Majj
Mmmmmmmmmmm well you would have to clean the wire grate the poop doesn`t always miss smile.gif...sheets of newspaper are easy to roll up I don`t get dirty pans at all ..or grates because I use the newspaper on top of the grate ...

I guess whatever everyone is happy with I can`t see the problem with a pan under the play area though , thats just me ..

Good night all time for bed downunser Saturday tomorrow Yeah !!!!!

I don't think the open tops are safe for birds. I have heard of birds getting injury with the open top cages!

I have one of their cages and I love it. The people are very very nice! If you have any problems they get right on it. I had a broken latch and then sent me two and they said if we could not get it fix they would send someone right out.

Good Luck with you choice on the cage you decide to pick~! They cages are very sturdy and very pretty~!!

They go to all most all the bird fairs and they are much cheaper the you do not have shipping charges!

I dont like pans on top of cages because it makes the cage so dark anc cave like! I have a large California cage (had it for nearly 13 years and we never use the top pan) and I have never had a problem w/ mess on the top "wires
Andrea5699
I agree.. Kiwi has a pan and we dont use it either... much easier to just clean one pan.. I love the seoncd cage..its so conveneient having a playtop they can acutally use and be safe.. very roomey as well with tons of room for perches and toys smile.gif

I guess it could make a cage dark I never thought of that , as my boys cages are in a room with full windows all around, plenty of light even if the cage top is covered ... smile.gif
