My Lalo is completely terrified of baths. He hates spray bottles, and he wont take a bath in a large shallow bowl.
He only bathes in his water dish which is barely big enough for him to get in, and sometimes, it doesn't have very clean water in it when he decides to bathe.
What do you think I should do? Should I just let him keep bathing in his water dish, or try to get him to warm up to spray bottles and bowls?

My Sunny is the same , he will not go in the bigger bowl like Buddy , but he will let me spray him , he still however gets into his drink bowl...he is almost 8years old now so I have given up, can`t hurt if you have fresh water everyday in the bowl and make sure after his dip wash and refill..

cricket insists on bathing in his water bowl. i started keeping track of how often he was taking baths... it turned out to be about every other day. i started asking him if he wanted to take a bath and he'd get all excited. i open the water bowl so that it is outside of his cage and fill it with warm water. he can hardly wait for me to put the dish back in its holder before he's jumping in.

My cages are big enough that I can put a dish in the bottom of the cage and they can take a bath or not if they like. After they get done, I just wipe down the cage and remove the dishes. I use deep pie dishes.

I use a drinking bottle for my birds' water and then I can put the "bath" dish in the cage. Eli doesn't really like baths or showers anymore. You can also let him come into the bathroom with you and let him "steam" bath.
Maybe even try wet lettuce leaves for him to roll around on.

Clyde rarely takes a bath, even though I not only have a nice bowl of water in his cage specifically for that purpose, he also has a ladder which he can use to climb down into it -- he likes to stick just his toe in a couple of times and think about it before actually getting in, it's hilarious. The reason I put the bowl in there was because he'd try to bathe in his water dish, which is much, much too small for that. I figure I've done my part and he knows when he needs a bath. I haven't tried misting because he's very nervous about things he doesn't recognize, and he simply will not consider the bathroom sink for a moment. And we don't have a shower, but that would scare him, too, I'm sure. All you can do is offer and let them do what they want.

Have you tried giving Lalo warm water? Some birds like cold others luke warm. My qp likes luke warm in summer (just enough to take the chill off) but in winter she prefers warm baths. Not hot to touch but pretty warm. She'll dip her foot in first to test the temp - it's so funny to watch.

I've had Kiwi for 8 years and she was already over a year when I got her. She has hated baths all this time until a few months ago. I kept putting different bowls of water on top of her cage for her and I finally hit on one she liked. Was I ever surprised

My Bo still likes to bathe in his drinking water. I've had him about the same length of time.

So far Drago will only bathe if you put him under a small running stream of water or you bring him in the shower with you. HE thinks the water bottle is okay, but would rather not get spray by something that isn't a consistent stream.
All he ever does with his water bowl is stick is tail in it.

Charlie hated water at first, what I did was put some apply pieces in with the water, used a medium size dish, he kept looking at the apples and evently got in, did that a few times then he just got used to it and now loves it. I use luke warm water, he doesn't like cold.

My QP was scared of baths.tried the sink, bowls,my bath, pretty much everything! then i put a regular bowl (breakfast bowl) into the bottom of his cage every morning, with warm water in it! once he wasnt scared of it anymore and went down to investigate he sort of tapped the bowl a few times and then he had a taste, next thing he was bathing away!! hes too big for it now but insists on using the same bowl lol! but he refuses a cold bath!! i also dont have to put bowl in his cage now! he see's me put his bowl on livingroom floor and hes straight there with the checking the temp routine and away he goes!! and he insists on daily baths! even goes in kitchen and taps the bowls if i forget in the morning!!
id suggest the bowl in bottom of cage with warm water! he will fear it at first but nosieness always gets them! and he may well try it!! (before the bowl episode,i was just holding oatis and bathing him by filling my hand with warm water and pouring over him in the sink, maybe this made him realise he liked feeling clean i dont know? goodluck!!)

Our bird loves to shower with us and will insist on a "Shower, bath, WET!" or will tell us, "Take a bath! Get wet!"; but he wants nothing to do with bowls or sinks. Recently, he has started swimming in his small water dish while making pleased "peep-peep" noises.
However,I used to have a parakeet who would only take a bath if a lettuce or cabbage leaf lined the bath bowl. He never ate the leaf, but it had to be in our he was not going to get wet. Weird, but it worked for him.

Don't think it's a Conure thing, unless you mean Sun Conure

My two Conures love to bath in anything. They don't care if it's the sink, shower, water bowl, water bottle (that's funny to watch) or big baking dish...

As for the Quaker, try different water temperatures, or even try a larger water dish (if you can find one of the same type). If he's still not getting all that wet, then you may be forced to spray him down at least once a week.

Mollie will not take a bath but loves to be sprayed. I put her on the divider in my double kitchen sink and spray her with a spray bottle. Now I can even turn the facet to spray and move it over her for a shower. She just stands there and seems to really enjoy it, even closing her eyes for a few seconds. I love your picture Carrie Anne with the little girl watching! What a cute shot, I thought you only had two sons?

Truman likes the shower, but for the longest time he would only takee baths in his water dish even tho' I kept a large bowl on top of his cage. Finally one day when he was in his water dish, I walked over, took the bowl from the top of his cage, and held it next to the dish. He got the idea and moved over and got in. Then I carefully took it out and put it on top of his cage. He finally got the idea, and now he almost always uses the big bowl (still sneaks into his water dish once in a while tho').

our qp LOVES his water dish... usually though to cut down on messiness and the poor dear having to squeeze in it I mist him during this episode.. its how i actually got him used to being misted..
and not sure if this was said but:
Sometimes it is not just the temperature that isnt quite right but the type of dish so experiment with different bath dishes and see which one your qp likes the best

it took us about four different bowls to figure out which one Kiwi liked

Remy likes to bathe in his water bowl too...Only, he has a habit of dropping his food in his fresh water, then bathing in it, then eating the food out of it!
One day I tried to take his "water/bath" bowl out to get the food out and add fresh water and he grabbed his water door and pulled it closed and HISSED at me!!

Try giving him different bowls with water in them and leave each one for a few days. Maybe he just doesn't like the bowl he has for some reason. Clyde is VERY particular about his bathtub and until we got the one he has now, he would only take baths very rarely, and usually trying to use his water dish. I got him a Tupperware-style bowl and just pitched the lid. He only uses it a couple of times a week, but he does use it. I tried misting him and that only made him mad.
