hello, i joined the forums recently b/c i have a quaker as well, she/he is 3/12 months old, named Midori.

I bought midori from a breeder, the same day he was supposed to be weaned, as early as possible. Still had a very babyish feathers. ive got lots of stories to tell of midori, but i thought i might start with an intoduction first.

oh, by the way my name is Jamie, i live in Dallas Texas. Im a college student, and i have had experiance rehabilitating birds in the past. i used to have a cockatiel i named Randy, and 2 budgies named ralph and sunshine.



this is a great forum for learning of quakers too! i love it. Ive been reading along for quite some time as a guest.

Welcome Jamie, I am Shelli my family and I live in VA! We dont have our Quaker yet as he/she is still being handfed. We do have 3 other birds, 4 dogs, 3 hermit crabs, a hamster, a fish tank and a fish pond lol we have a zoo! I am married and have 2 lil girls that are 7 and 2!! I am new to the board also, but I love it as everyone is friendly, informative and out and out fun!

i thought the name was good too, the word is japanese for green, and i think thats where they go the name for the drink too

like the way you have used a japenese word for his name!! reminds me of my dogs name roofus! hes a red merle collie so we called him roofus as its latin 4 red!!
