The only problem I have with her is when she is on my shoulder. She will try to bite holes in my shirt but when I put her on the playgym she does her quaker noises and kisses noises should I just try to avoid the shoulder unless its for rides around the house because she does good with that. Welcome to the group , your little blue girl looks like a sweetheart...I am sorry about the loss of your Cockatiel , its hard to part with a loved critter..
My sun conure is a shirt biter and we have to make sure we are wearing already ruined shirt when he rides with up..
Buddy likes to pick at our skin (freckles / moles or any spots ) Ouch !! that can hurt too...

Yep, a lot of them chew clothes!
They explore with their beak and like to destroy things so it's fun for them to pick at our clothes too! 
Casey can make a huge hole in a matter of seconds, it's actually quite amazing! 
You can get in the habit of wearing 'bird shirts' so that it's okay if they get ruined or you can make (or buy) a shoulder thing (don't know the real name, lol) that just covers your shoulders so they don't ruin your good clothes.

Welcome to the forum. I am well blessed with bird shirts. My Bo loves to chew holes in them as well as crawl down inside my shirt and sleep. He snips buttons off with lightening speed, so I just have certain shirts I wear with him on board.
Your Nala is beautiful and I know you will find that she is differnet from any other bird you have ever had and will adore her as we do our little monster biters.
