I just ordered a bird cage, I have a 3.5 month old QP. I was wondering if this cage is a good size? I keep getting varying recommendations. http://www.bird.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=502903+WHT Any comments or better suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

The cage looks like an excellent size, very big and roomy, perfect bar spacing and a great price. I remember someone posted this cage a little while back and the "Made of sturdy coated wire" concerned some people as it didn't actually say if it was powder coated or not. You might want to send them an email and ask if they could clarify the 'study coated wire'. But other than that, it looks great!
Can't wait to see some pictures of your new baby in his new cage!

If the shipping is free then it sounds like it is well the the money. If it is powder coated.
I have the same cage but I'm getting ready to sell it. I really like it but I have two, too many cages.

Hi,
The shipping is free which is great, b/c I went to a specialty bird shop and they wanted up to 400.00 for similiar cage. I'm not ready to drop that much money just yet on a cage.

I just wanted to say Thanks! This forum is very informative and helpful. I'm glad that I found this forum b/c it helped me avoid alot of mistakes.

Oh I wish I had known you were going to sell one lol MAYBE I wouldnt of ended up broke down in the college town w/ a massive tow bill lol I have a friend that lives in Charlotte and I could of had her bring it to me the next time she came up for a DRs appt! She literally lives behind the speed way (well behind a cow field then the speed way) lol
By any chance, did anyone confirm that the sturdy coated wire is powder coated yet?

Mine was powder coated put I don't know if it is the same manufacturer.

Oh, how I wish I could find a cage like that on Craigslist in my area!! I have found one, it was a 2.5hr drive from me. With the price of gas, it just would have been too much money
