So, I was sharing some much needed snuggle time with Ferris tonight, and my oldest son was around to take some pics. Please excuse how I look, but I was pretty much ready for bed, so I was in my comfy clothes, lol. I hope you enjoy them, Ferris has been such a huge, wonderful addition to our flock, and I am simply amazed by him everyday. Yay! Sorry there are so many, but it was really hard to choose, cause he was being such a lover, lol.

CONGRATS on your new addition. Make sure you post TONS of pictures. We love new fid pics. Unfortunately I did not get to see any pics of Pita before you re-homed her, so pics of a new addition would be great.

Beautiful. And I must say you are very brave and trusting to let Ferris be sooo close to your face.

But I have forgotten. How did you happen to come to have Ferris?

GREAT Pics! You sure lucked out with such a loving GW!!! I am just now at the lovey stage with Sebastion..he will let me cradle him like a baby and rub his tummy but that took over a year to accomplish..he would have bit right through my lip a yr ago.Shelby still wants now part of anyone. She will let you hold her at she will interact with you but don't even think of rubbing rubbing her head or beak.Hope that changes over time.
Glad to see he made such a smooth transition!!

Thanks for the great comments everyone, he is truly a joy to have around and as you can see, I'm COMPLETELY in love with him, lol.
Quincy's Slave - He is not flighted. His wings will probably remain clipped mostly to avoid any nasty interactions with Red, since Red is always out of her cage on her own playgym. Also, with his dislike of males, my sons are for sure safer with him not being able to fly. I am working on ordering a harness for him, because he lets me touch him everywhere, and I'd love to be able to take him outside for walks and such.
Brook - He's 18, and he is getting along with me wonderfully, but he is not so trusting of ANY males. He has bitten Mike (hubby) and Kyle (oldest son). Thankfully, he didn't break the skin, but it was an actual BITE, they were just able to pull away before too much damage was done. He does try to step up for Mary, but she's too little to handle his weight. She is stubborn like her momma, so she just keeps trying to get him to accept her.
Majj - I had him for about 3 days before I finally just decided that I was GOING to handle him, and if I got bit, that's what was going to have to happen. I put 2 sweatshirts on, and kept him inside his strike range against my body pretty much. He guided the playtime, and he has trusted me ever since. I think that whoever had him first did some major training, but was definitely female, lol.
Kate - I got Ferris from PAEP rescue. I took him as a foster, but am officially in the process of permanent adoption right now.

Honey, I hate to say this, but somebody LIED to you. A lady on a Grey board I belong to GOT Soloman from Springdale Ark about 2 weeks ago, same picture and everything.
I did not think anything of it, cause I figured you took everything to heart that people said to you and decided now was not the best time for another addition.
Sorry hon, it stinks when people just can't be honest.
If it's any consolation, he does have a wonderful home and has already settled in beautifully.
