What can I feed my QPs are far as meat? Can they eat chicken, pork or beef? I know I can feed them chicken eggs. But what about the bird?

A friend of mine used to feed hers octapus! laugh.gif

Chicken or turkey is good for them in limited amounts. The experts say red meat (beef, pork, lamb...) is hard for them to digest so not very good.

OK, great thanks guys for the quick replies. Much appreciated.

Casey loves chicken! biggrin.gif Protein, like chicken is great for their health. wink.gif Lots of people offer chicken bones too as they like to eat the marrow out of the inside, but Casey will have nothing to do with that! rolleyes.gif

I agree, feeding meat is fine in small quantities, the bones from poultry offer a good source of calcium and a little meat once in a while is good as well.

At my house the dogs get the bones from the red meats and the birds get the bones from the poultry.

I gave Clyde some turkey the other day and he really liked that. I've given him chicken, too. He seems to prefer to eat stuff like that from my hand, though. If I put it in his dish he either ignores it or tosses it on the cage floor. But if I hold it, he'll chow down, making funny "yum yum" sounds while he eats it.
