Now that Clyde has this huge new cage, I tried to put perches in convenient places where he could go up and down easily. Then I watched him yesterday afternoon as he explored it to see where he might need to have them. He crawls up and down and all around a lot and I'm sure that's good exercise for him, but I wanted him to have convenient places to sit, too. And he STILL seems to spend most of his time hanging on the side. It's not quite 3 feet high and about a foot and a half wide on each side, and he has a sandy perch and a natural stick perch up near the top where he prefers to sit, a swing hanging from the top, another natural perch attached to one side about a foot below the two top ones, a comfy rope style perch about six inches below that, a plastic one and another stick perch about a foot from the floor, and a plastic one in front of his food and water. Does that sound about right? My husband says I put "too much stuff" in his cage. He has a mirror and a treat bowl and a couple of toys and a ladder on the floor hooked to the side so he can climb down to his bathtub that's on the floor.

sounds great to me! As long as there is lots of wing flapping room you cant ever have enough to keep those busy beaks busy!lol
