Ok, so my little guy had me so worked up yesterday and the few previous days, that I actually posted an ad on here lastnight to sell him. Wouldn't you know, he woke up on the right side of the perch!! He has been so sweet today and he even has been talking more. I taught him to say peek-a-boo and Uh oh in just a couple of hours. He/she did do something strange that I'm wondering about. There's a hanging toy and it sits next to the perch, well, he/she backed up to it, raised her tail and sat there like that for awhile, and then I noticed he was bleeding. What in the world could of that of been all about? Would that be a hint of a male or female? Also, the bird, sorry, I don't have a set name yet, won't get on my finger from the cage. She/he will fly down and hop right on from the floor, but not the cage. What would be an easy way to do that? I've only had the bird for a couple of weeks so I'm thinking its a trust issue, but then he goes crazy when I leave the room and he expects me to sit in the chair next to his cage and talk. He's very affectionate to me, as of today, and "kisses", talks, and has a fit when I leave the room, so how could this be a trust issue? ANY advice would be appreciated. I don't want to sell him if he's going to be this good. I know it takes patience and believe me, I'm trying..... thank you.

Oh gosh, I don't know about the bleeding .... Could he be a she and perhaps she's egg-bound. I really don't know, I've not had experience in that. I'm hoping someone can help more than I.

Wow, the bleeding is scary. I don't know about any of that. Yes, hopefully someone with more experience than myself will help you out.

Where is she bleeding from, can you see the area, and is she still bleeding?

She was bleeding from behind and I put cornstarch on it and it completely stopped, thankfully. A question for you......she has become very sweet and I think its because I have spent countless hours talking to her. She kisses, etc. She sits on top of her cage and while she lets me kiss her, she won't step up off of the cage. I know she wants out, but when I put my finger up, she backs away and then comes right back to me. Do you know why she's doing this? Right now, she's sitting there looking at me saying "good boy" repeatedly.LOL. She's so much fun! Thank you for your replies.

Are you trying to get her out of the cage or off the top of the cage. If she is on top push gentle in wards to wards her belly and feet area and say step up try it over and over. Glad to hear she is doing better.
