This is Lili She was born 3/2/2002. She is a rehome from a lovely, unselfish woman that has had health problems and wanted only the best for Lili. We've been aquaintances for quite a while so she knows that she picked the correct home for her. We're in contact with each other every day.
Lili came to live with us on July 13th but we feel like she's been here forever. She talks, but hasn't for us yet. She makes a lot of clucks and clicks but that's it for now. She's still settling in so I'm sure that's why. If she never talks again, it's no big deal to me.

And see this is just proof that I picked the correct home for her (and also picked the right place for Bruno as well). I have no doubts about either home that they will be loved forever and that was my major concern...God Bless you both.

And let me thank Julie also as Bruno has fit right into the family here. Although his monster cage was a little harder to fit in. LOL Bruno is a 5 year old CAG and him and Rocky have started whistling and talking back and forth. And he LOVES to eat. He is so gentle when he takes food from your hands he is so careful! We are still working on stepping up, something he is not too keen on but we are working on. And so far no plucking or evidence of it as I have been holding my breath that he wouldn't.
Click to view attachment (although he wasn't happy about the picture taking LOL)
And thanks to Paula too for bring Bruno to us!

Thanks for the pic there Von....He hates the camera and boy am I glad to hear no more plucking....You all do not need to thank me...I am the one who is eternally gratefull that you both agreed to give 2 of my precious babies loving homes in my time of need. Hopefully I can handle the ones I have left even with the surgery but just knowing those 2 are happy is enough to calm my nerves....God Bless ya both.....

I'm just seeing this thread for the first time. Congrats to both Paula and Von. Great owners for sure

Julie, I'm so very sorry that you've had to rehome your Greys due to health issues. I know that must be so difficult for you. I hope you take consolidation in the fact that your birds will be loved just as much as when they were with you.

Paula...that just brings the waterworks on for sure but makes me sooooooooooooooo happy inside.
Julie and Carrie Anne, thanks for the kind words and yes it was difficult but knowing where they wer going and with whom made it alot easier for me. i told both of them that I prefer to make this decision so that I can pick where they go and not to wait till I can no longer make the decision myself. this way I could be really picky. I have no doubts that they both got loving homes and this is proof I am right...
Thanks again Paula for sharing those precious pics.

Blessings to five precious angels.
First to Julie for seeking out only the best for these beautiful fids. That's LOVE!
To Paula and Von for being there to give them a happy home as Julie wished.
To these gorgeous fids who are lucky to have ALL these people love them and care what happens to them.
These blessings are HUGE and it makes me so glad to be a part of this heart warming group!
Stories like this touch our hearts and bring tears of joy to our eyes.
Julie, prayers continue for you. Feel our arms around you and the warmth of our love in your heart.

Just a little update on Bruno, we aren't quite as close to the shoulder sitting as Paula and Lili but I am thrilled to say he flew out of his cage yesterday (I keep the door open when I am there) and he stepped up onto my arm and refused to go in his cage! We sat down and talked for a few minutes until he started leaning toward the cage and I placed him back in and gave him a treat! Then he kept peeking his head around the door and saying "hello, hello" and wolf whistling at me. I was so tickled!! So Julie we are making great progress in fact much quicker than I expected. I am letting Bruno set the pace as some of my grey friends have told me. I know this sounds crazy but one lady told me when I talk to him to blink every once in a while. I know this sounds wierd but she insists if you do this they will blink back and its a sign of friendship. LOL don't know if its my blinking but he does seem to relax when I do it, and he starts blinking too. If his eyes are pinning they will suddenly open up wide and blink. Hey! I'll try anything!! LOL

Paula, Keep up the great job you are doing with Lili. She looks so happy.
Von, glad to hear that Bruno is making progress with you, sometimes though you might have to make him come out of the cage whether he wants to or not. I found that he will stay in there if you let him. He doesn't seem to mind being in there.
Von and Paula I cannot say Thank You enough to both of you. I knew they would be blessed being with you all but Thank You just doesn't seem to cover the emotions I feel. You all made difficult things go very smoothly for me and I am forever grateful.
I also want to thank everyone for their kind words during this difficult time and keep the prayers coming as I am gonna need them over the next couple of months. Again many thanks to everyone here.
