i usually try to buy my stuff locally because a) i'm not patient, and 2) i like to support smaller businesses when i can, as opposed to corporations. i like to stock up at the bird fairs once a month (lots of local businesses show up), or even just get ideas for stuff to make myself. it's mainly reason a tho lol. one of the vendors at our monthly bird fair has toys, food, perches, you name it. we always take a tour through the clearance bin and get something, check out the toys for inspiration, and usually get a few new perches. their wooden perches are definitely cheaper than the big box pet store chains. whether or not they actually make the perches themselves, well that i don't know.
i did just get an order from oriental trading company with some finger traps (cheaper per piece at the dollar store, but i couldn't find any last time i went) and some pacifiers. there's another store about 1/2 hour away from me (nasco) that i plan to visit to get some wooden supplies. their site is enasco.com and they have a LOT of various stuff.
i also look for stuff at garage sales. dishwasher safe materials, like hard plastic baby keys and the like. it's all about alternative uses. louie has a set of measuring spoons that were his FAVE toy for the longest time. he would take them off their ring, clang them together, or just chew on them. i have a TON of toy making supplies, but much less motivation. i need to get it all sorted out, then get my bum in gear and make some new stuff. once i actually get started, i think to myself, "what was the hold up? that toy just took less than 5 minutes to make and they LOVE it." lol.

Ok, I asked about your birds favorite toys but I forgot to ask about YOUR favorite websites to order toys, perches etc.. from here in the USA! Please let me know where you all have had great success ordering from and all of that fun stuff lol
Sounds crazy but Wal-mart's baby department. It's full of rattles and plastic chain together toys that you can use to connect stuff together to hang they are brite make noise and can take a beating lol. Other then that I love hunting on Ebay keyword "parrot toy" and you find tons of bird toy makers on there and there is tons of bird safe stuff to choose from at great prices.

I also love to hit the baby department, especially in the dollar stores. But to order on line my favorite is Parrot Toy Angel, this is a non-profit and the proceeds are used make toys and give to rescues or people who have come on hard times and need help with their birds. And they always throw in free little hand toys or such that have been handmade by volunteers.
