Odie has done great over the weekend. Eating like a little pig. Poops still look good. He needs to gain some weight back. I havent weighed him but I can tell his keel bone is more prominate than before. Of course ill still have him on meds til at least the end of the week. But he is real easy to doctor. I still have some heat available to him. He acts more lively and getting around good. A little gimpy yet. We will see how that plays out. Im hearing more noise out of him. All good signs so far. Thanks everyone for your prayers. im sure Ill make more mistakes but I bet I dont make that same mistake again. It about cost Odie his Life.

Well this was not a trust issue. I knew this dog would kill a bird if given the chance. The bird just got out when I didnt intend for him to be. I shut the dog outside or in the bedroom or hubby holds him on his lap when i know they are gonna be out. Just one of those things. rolleyes.gif

I didnt mean you in particular because I remember your first thread on Odie and I knew you didnt let him out w/ you dog on purpose, BUT I cant believe the people I see that let their dogs and cats out w/ their birds, AND the amount of people I see walking around outside w/ their birds UNtethered and UNcaged! I am amazed at how they think "oh it wont happen to me" one example of this is at a MAJOR intersection here in town, there is a man that is always walking around outside w/ his CAG, and I keep telling hubby that one of these days something will startle that bird and the man will be thinking "I thought he wouldnt fly off" UGH
