well i have never had a quaker but i have seen birds and had parakeets and i am seeing something that doesnt seem usual. sometimes my baby quaker (about 3 mos old) shakes his head up and down kind of like nodding yes, but super fast. its more like a vibration than a nod. is he just playing or could something be wrong? is it from being scared? also what are signs of being scared?

From what you are describing it sounds like normal baby 'quaking.' Quakers do this movement when begging for food from their parents. Some quakers retain this baby behavior into adulthood, some don't. Also, my quaker seems to do this when he's really pleased and happy. Hope this helps

As LindseyC said, that is normal.
However, Quakers can have seizures. Someone told me (not 100% sure since we talk to a ton of bird people) that Quakers are more susceptible to seizures. You will definitely be able to tell the difference. If your bird has a seizure they will have zero motor control (like a human would).
