Hi all, currently I have a small petting zoo at my house. 3 dogs, 3 birds, fish out the wazoo and 3 kids. I am thinking of adding a Grey in the next couple of years and I know many of you all are Grey owners and are experts. I need to be guided to web sites, books anything to learn as much as I can to see if a CAG/TAG is the best fit for me and my family

Dee's site

another grey site

i belong to dee's site - good site, everyone is very friendly. it's pretty small in member numbers compared to the other forum, if i remember correctly. the other site seemed pretty friendly too tho. i haven't been there in a long time, and there was a little bit of drama last time i checked in.

we have a CAG and he is very entertaining. he's quite different then the quaker, but they are each wonderful in their own special ways.

An African Grey Forum (just click the link) is most likely a very good start. You have probably seen Dee around here posting, and she runs the site. There is a very good mix of knowledgable people and novices getting advice, with all folks in between. Becides that, I doubt with three birds already you will have much difficulty with adding a grey, as long as you work to know the character specialities !!

you could also PM CQ. he's got a bit of experience with greys smile.gif

i agree with xanthus, if you already have 3 birds, you have an idea what you are getting into. same issues, just a new personality to learn.

good luck! should you ultimately decide to, you won't regret your decision to bring a grey home, in my opinion.
