Here are some pictures. Should I have her wings clipped before it is too late? Does it hurt them if they cut them too short? What do you think? Are they long enough?
Andie's Mom
Yes, they are ready to be clipped again.

Yes it can hurt them if they are clipped to short or too many in that if its too many they fall to the ground like a rock and can bruise or break their keel bone, Or depending on how hard they hit they can split the tissue over the keel bone as well. Clipping them to short can also injure the tips of their wing as well. If you haven't ever done it yourself, I would strongly recommend having a professional do it and watch them closely and have them teach you the proper way to do it.
Nancy and Bubba
My vet cut Bubba's wings way to short last time and he fell like a rock - breaking his beak 2 seperate times. It was not fun. I will not be going back to that vet again, so you have to be very careful. His wings are not growing back properly either, he can now flutter, but it still looks like a hack job to me. Connie had good advice. biggrin.gif
