I am so excited I want to jump out of my skin!!! I just had to share. Squirt (the quaker with the splay legs) has his cage right beside my computer desk. I turned around to hear what he was so excited about and he had stepped up on the rope perch (its about an inch off the cage floor) and he was perching!!!! He was actually sitting there proclaiming loudly so I would look at him!! I had tears in my eyes. Then he jumped off and went and perched on his food dish and started using one foot to dig around in it. Both of his legs now look and act normal, he is using his toes and his nails are finally starting to come in! A day I was wondering was even possible. And thank you everyone for sharing this with me...I am just so excited!!!!!!
Spirit took his first bath yesterday, it took all of 2 seconds after I put the bowl of water in there for him to jump and and start playing. He is also talking he says "what cha doing" "what" "hey" we are working on momma.
What a joy my first two quaker babies have given me despite the scarey beginning and sleepless nights they are both so special to me.

Oh VON! This is a fantastic day that we have all waited for! You have no idea how we appreciate the opportunity to follow along as these babies have hatched, grown and learned, thanks to you! We've watched as you slept very little and works very hard to see that these babies had the best care possible, and still you found the time to sit down and share it with us. Don't stop now. We love seeing these guys grow and learn.
Be blessed Von...and thanks for sharing your little guys with us.

Fantastic!!! Isn't it amazing what fids and kids can do when no one tells them they can't? Shows why we shouldn't be quick to give up.

Thank you everyone, its so nice to be able to share with people who understand. When hubby came home I told him...his "thats good" comment kind of bummed me out. But you all know how I feel and why I am so excited.
