Are there any NCers or SCers that want to try to plan a get together, maybe in the fall when it gets a little cooler?
There's a bird show coming to Charlotte in August also.

Von, Tera and some friends met up and went to lunch.

I'd like to try to meet you all again. Cooler is much better for me, chubby girls dont like heat!

I would love to met everyone. I work durning the week. But I wanted to take a week off in october this year. So maybe I could make it this time. Has to be in the middle of the month though. Would anyone like to come to New Bern? I'll fix lunch.

OUCH! That's 5 hours for me. Maybe we can see who's coming and where they're coming from then find a mid point.

I'm up for trying it again. I work retail but if I have some advance warning of the date I can make it if it's on a Saturday.

I think a Saturday would be best for most of us.
I was thinking about Sept. 27 or Oct. 4.
I'm going to start keeping track of who wants to come and where they live so I can start figuring out a half way point for us all.

I wouldn't suggest it Lisa since we'll probably be meeting in a public place.
Also, whenever you bring a new bird into your home you need to quarantine it, so I would think that would come into play here too, I guess.
I always wonder why there's such a long quarantine period though, considering how bird shows work. There are birds everywhere.
