We have this book and it has a ton of recipes for birdie breads/muffins etc. biggrin.gif

I personally would not use baby cereal like shown in the recipe above... IMO baby cereals have way too much added iron which isn't healthy for a tiny Quaker body. wink.gif

Happy Baking! smile.gif

Here is a recipe that Zazu's breeder uses with her birds. She has a slew of recipes for various breads and things up. http://djfeathers.com/About/Recipes/recipes.htm

Ingredients:
Mix 2 boxes of Jiffy Corn Muffin mix with:

  • 3 eggs with shells
  • 2/3 cup of milk
  • 2 Gerber's Jr. size jar of sweet potatoes or carrots
  • 1/2 cup of frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup of frozen corn
  • 1/2 cup of pellets
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter
Directions:
Bake in muffin tins or cake pans at 450 for 20-25 min or until done. Can be frozen.
