Nice cage. But why arent you going to the fair in Tulsa?. Its over a month away. Or were you going to just get a cage and you already have one.

Well the fair really is not that big and I'm not getting any birds. And I can get this cage for $100 dollars and it would cost that mush to drive to Tulsa. When we went and picked up Pippin our new blue quaker we spent over hundred dollars. Food, gas and stuff to drink plus we got loss. Plus it's getting to hard for Ray to drive to far and I won't drive very far!!!!
So Katie what do you think of the cage! I don't know what brand it is. I'll have to ask. I know they sold the bird and the people already had a cage so they did not need the cage.QUOTE (Paula0442 @ Jul 27 2008, 04:01 PM)

What is the width measurement for it, Angela? You have to consider how much room will be left in there after the toys/perches are in there. Will it be big enough for a Cockatoo?

I know this sounds crazy~!!!!!!!!!! I'm worried it might be to big! She is VERY AFRAID of Big cages. The cage that she is in now you all would think is to small for her. But it's what Erin the rescue lady told me the size to get for for her. She feels very safe if she is in close Little more then a normal cockatoo I know. She is not a normal cockatoo!!!!!!! She was kept in a cage for a parakeet all of her life. So Big cages scare her to death!
Do you think that cage would work for Meeka if CG was to scared to go in it?

Andie and I have that cage or one very similar to it. Its an HQ cage with a cathedral top. It would be fine for CG but the bar spacing might be a little big for Meeka. Can't tell for sure from the angle how wide the bar spacing is. We have had many different birds in that cage and most of them LOVE the drop down cathedral door. You can still make it into a play top without opening the top doors up. just get you some toy hanger hoods and attact them at different levels at the top.
I have the next to the biggest one as well for the Macaw I'm boarding and he likes to be out just playing on the top and on the cathedral door as well.
If you get it I would definitely allow CG to just get used to it by having it around her before you put her in it. Set it next to her current cage and stuff so she can get used to it and maybe even allow her to play on it while its empty.
