By Sennie I take it you mean Senegal? Where is the area you are in? I am in Rke va but I have a great friend in Charlotte

dry.gif Hey I just looked you up and see that you are right below Charlotte, I emailed my friend about getting the Sen. from you til I can get down there to pick him up from her! My van is leaking transmission fluid and our truck has the transmission out of it

If he's going to GA then it wouldn't be practical for me to help. From Waxhaw he would have to come 1 hour N. when he needs to be headed S.

I have been in contact w/ Theresa about the Senegal, you all cross your fingers for me please!!!

Shelli- I am SO sorry. I know this isn't how you wanted it to work out. I promise you it wasn't what I wanted to happen, either! When I talked to theresa I told her I would be more than happy to pick these guys up and foster until their homes are worked out but that my nest was full!

When I got there to pick them up the poor owner was already in tears- this has been so hard for her. I honestly thought she might back out! But she perked right up when she saw how Sammy reacted to us, and especially how he liked Megan... I was NOT in the market for another fid, but sometimes it just seems "right", and this turned out to be one of those times.

I hope there are no hard feelings- I sure didn't mean to step on your toes. Maybe it worked out this way for a reason and the right one is going to come along for you.

Hugs,
Christy

Christy, I wont lie to you when I found out I sat and cried like a baby, I really wanted this bird, my husband made some repairs to our vehicle and we had already made arrangements to leave our daughters w/ some family so that we would have more room for the cage! I hope that Sammy is happy and that you can continue to give him the home that he so deserves! We were coming down to get him on Sunday so you can imagine was a disappointmen this is for us! sad.gif As far as the right one being out there I sad to say really thought that he was it, I have wanted a Senegal for years and have been waiting on one that needed a home.

I am sorry you were so sad on hearing the news, but I did tell you it was up to the owner and nothing was settled. I talked to the owner right after Christy left her house, and she told me that she GAVE Sammy to Christy because of his reaction to her and her daughter. She felt like it was the best home for him. Christy was kind enough to open up her heart and her home to him.
I know you are very sad, and felt this was the one, but there are lots of birds who need homes and the right one will come along for you. I felt bad when I read this post, and I certainly hope it does not cause Christy to feel bad or as if she did something wrong.
We sometimes have to accept the owners decisions no matter how hard they are for us.
The right birdie for you will come along!

Like I always say "If it's meant to happen, it will"

Oh Theresa, i am not mad, sad yes, mad no. I really did want him, and if you all knew my husband getting him to agree to yet another pet is a miracle and so I really thought that this was the ONE! I really do hope that Sammy, Christy and her daughter all get along famously! I have no animosity, and I am happy for him
