Christy, I wont lie to you when I found out I sat and cried like a baby, I really wanted this bird, my husband made some repairs to our vehicle and we had already made arrangements to leave our daughters w/ some family so that we would have more room for the cage! I hope that Sammy is happy and that you can continue to give him the home that he so deserves! We were coming down to get him on Sunday so you can imagine was a disappointmen this is for us!

As far as the right one being out there I sad to say really thought that he was it, I have wanted a Senegal for years and have been waiting on one that needed a home.
I am sorry you were so sad on hearing the news, but I did tell you it was up to the owner and nothing was settled. I talked to the owner right after Christy left her house, and she told me that she GAVE Sammy to Christy because of his reaction to her and her daughter. She felt like it was the best home for him. Christy was kind enough to open up her heart and her home to him.
I know you are very sad, and felt this was the one, but there are lots of birds who need homes and the right one will come along for you. I felt bad when I read this post, and I certainly hope it does not cause Christy to feel bad or as if she did something wrong.
We sometimes have to accept the owners decisions no matter how hard they are for us.
The right birdie for you will come along!
Like I always say "If it's meant to happen, it will"
