I'm not sure if my quaker is ok he hit a window and he's not moving, he was breathing very loudly and his legs are like fists can anyone give me any advice as to what i should do before i go to the vet?and He isn't moving except for his head.
QPdad
I would just move him as little as possible, put him in a shallow box on a soft towel and get him there immediately.
Kattastrophe
I will say a prayer for you and Charlie. Please let us know what the vet says.
Teresas
Adding another prayer for you guys. Good luck.
Lisa Barnes
OOOOh I hope everthing is ok.

Prayers being prayed right now for you and Charlie.

Dark Angel
David I hope you can get him into the vet asap. Hoping he is ok!
equineRtist
Prayers for you and Charlie. Get him under a light if the vet won't see you quickly, just not so close that he gets too hot. Heat from the bulb often helps and revives one quicker than anything else.
wilywind
Oh no. I hope it all turns out okay and Charlie isn't hurt badly. Please keep us updated.
~Pippin's Mom~
I hope you already at the vet!! PLease let us know what happens!
Frankie's Mom
I concur with what the others have said. Get him to the vet immediately! Make sure he is warm, and near a light source. It sounds from your post as if he may be concussed. The fisting of the feet is also a sign of going into shock. Please, please, please have him seen by a vet!
Sandi Kiwis Mom

Cheekys mum

If you can just hold him close to you keep him warm and quite its probably shock , my Sunny hit the window once when he was just learing to fly and his feet balled up he was panting I rang the vet he said shock..keep him warm and quite Sunny came good after a couple of hours but was very quite for a few days...I hope this will be the same for your little guy...Get him to a vet asap but kep him warm and quite in the mean time...
Peppe
Saying prayers for Charlie, hope that everything turns out okay, keep us posted. Julie

After a trip to the vet i also found out he somehow broke a nail but other than that he's ok. He's very quiet now and he stays where ever i put him(which he normally doesn't do).
QPdad
That's great news!!! I'm so glad to hear he's going to be alright!!!

He's been through a lot today but he should be back to his ornery little quaker self after a few days. smile.gif

Thanks for the update, David.
Teresas
So happy he is OK. He probably should stay quiet for the evening. He has had a traumatic day. I bet tomorrow he will be his usual self. Thanks for letting us know how he is doing.
xerxeys mama
WHEW Im glad to read that Charlie is ok and now plenty of rest for him and you . thanks for keeping us posted.
Peppe
So happy Charlie is okay and on the mend. Julie
Kattastrophe
I am so happy to hear the good news about Charlie!
Andie's Mom
You might also keep a good light source available to him, a heat lamp or just by taking the shade off a lamp. Its amazing how just that little bit will help perk them up and help them to come around. Just make sure that he can move away from the heat.
Casey's Mom
Wow! What a scare, I'm so glad Charlie is okay! Just keep him warm and hopefully he'll be back to his old self in a few days!
wilywind
Oh I'm so glad you were able to get Charlie to a vet and he's going to be okay.
Siobhan
That IS a relief. Poor little guy. Give him extra kisses from all of us.

equineRtist
Yes, please keep the heat of a light bulb near him until he is back to his normal self. Just give him room to move away a little bit if it gets too warm. he will move to that "just right" spot.
Poor Charlie! wub.gif
