I have the info and prices on my website on the available page
http://www.mybirdsnests.com/availableforadoption.htmThey are a bit like quakers in that they are very independent, can be aggressive, need daily interaction, sweet, cuddly and funny to watch. They are going constantly and one parrotlet eats as much as a quaker because their so active. The blue male and the yellow male (he has pale blue on his wings and around his eyes and on his back) are my two favorites.

Here's a pic of the yellow male, needs his wings clipped tonight, the minute you let go he takes off flying! And yesterday he landed twice IN Bruno the CAG's cage! Click to view attachment

LOL!! He looked like he wanted out and now! He just stared and shifted feet, and you know how large his cage is. A human being could climb in there and sit down with legs almost stretched out and be comfortable. So here I am half in and half out of the cage trying to grab this flittering little yellow thing and saying "its okay Bruno, it's okay" Once I got out with the baby he started pacing a little, I think he wanted no more visitors so I shut his door for a while and he was okay.

I totally understand that! I am hoping to make a trip in the fall. Haven't been back to MI since my mom passed away in 2002. I know, shame on me, my brother and sister have been guilting me and I need to make the trip. Will let you know when I have definite plans I would love to meet up!

Von, your babies are absolutely beautiful! I am with you in that the blue and yellow would be my pick too. I have never seen a blue of that shade before. My son had a green a few years ago that we bought for him at a local pet store for his B-day but it only lived about a year. I do not believe it was a very healthy bird from the start and the owner was only out to make a buck not a very nice man to say the least. His name was Kiwi and he was a cutie! Before that Tony had a cockatiel "Petey" that turned out to be a girl and he had her for almost 12 years. You have been so busy raising all these babies and your hard work shows in how beautiful they all have turned out. How is Spirit and Squirt doing, I so much enjoyed the pics and their story that you shared with us. Best of luck with all these wonderful babies! Julie

Thank you everyone, I am pretty proud of my first parrotlet babies and they are so much fun. I will try to get a update done on Squirt and Spirit tomorrow. They are both doing great. In fact I saw Squirt climbing up his wooden ladder a little bit ago he is really getting braver. But for some strange reason his toenails still aren't grown in. He has one toenail on each foot. But they still may come in, he just seems to grow much slower than Spirit did.

Von, I look forward to your update on Spirit and Squirt. Sounds like little Squirt might be catching up to his big brother! What a fun journey it must be to watch them grow, not to mention all the hard work. But what fun! Julie

Von, that is to funny cause I can picture that...does that little bird know how lucky he is cause he used to lunge at anything that came close to his castle...lucky you left without a battle wound as well...
Those babies are absolutly beautiful especially the blue one....you sure did a swell job with them...

He is getting a little more aggressive as he settles in, but I was half in and half out of his cage the day before, taking the perch off the back and moved it around to the front and outside to get him to come out of his cage and he never once even lunged. Just sat and watched me. When I set the perch up outside his cage my hand was right below the perch he was on and he didn't do a thing. Took him a couple hours and a couple attempts but he likes it there so he comes out and sits and watches TV from there. I also made him a couple new toys and hung them out side by the perch and he comes out and plays with them.

I want a yellow one soooooooooooooooo bad. However I am still in the same boat health wise and don't think adding any more pets would be good for me.
I can say that adding the dogs was a good thing, as it forces me to get up and take them out for walks. Today we all went to the flea market. I almost bought a stroller and brought it home to make into a doggie stroller. We had to carry the dogs most the time, it was so hot. We all had a great time, even the dogs.
