I talked to the people who are running it yesterday, WAS going to get a booth to sell some toys and things. Not so sure now if its worth it. Now I know why they didn't have many vendors in April. They want $55 to rent a table!!! I have never paid over $30! Can anybody else tell me if that is outrageous to you? Even in Atlanta they are only $30 a table. That amount seems high to me.

WoW Von!!! That's a lot of money. It would be different if you were selling huge expensive cages or $1,000.00 parrots.

That's what I thought too. I know prices have gone up but thats almost double what I have ever paid for one. That also explains why there weren't very many vendors there last time. That's why I was wondering if anyone else had ever paid that much.

Hmmmmm.... I don't know about booth prices but that seems about right for around here...that's why we don't have any of those type of fairs anymore...no one wants/can afford to pay those prices. And then they scalp you at the door for admission...Sigh.
But I sure wish we had at least one a year around here. But we don't...So enjoy your bird fair you guys. Don't forget to get me sumpin too!

I enjoyed this fair a bit too much when it came around in April-- the "sumpin" I came home with had wings and green cheeks

, so I've banned myself from attending this time!

I have contacted my friend in TN that usually goes to the Morganton. But I know last time she said Charlotte was doubtful because of the distance. Waiting to hear back from her.

I was wondering if you can take your birds to the fair?

We've never been to one.

Whooooaaa! I would never do that!!! God knows what disease, virus, etc... that you could catch there. When I leave one, I take my shoes off before I enter the house, run up to the shower and wash my hair, as well as the rest of me. I even clean out the insides of my finger nails!
This is just me though. It doesn't seem to bother the breeders there so maybe I'm being a little more paranoid than I should be.

I'll be there Teresas. I think Von and her daughter Tera might too, but she hasn't replied on here to me asking her about it. That is one busy women we have there. She was talking about having a booth there.
We usually meet up at the front door, walk around a bit (but we always get seperated), meet up again for lunch and then back to the show again for some last minute wandering.

I still had a good time though. Spent a little bit of money, which I DID NOT intend to do. There were fantastic deals though. I'll let you know what all I got later. It's din din time for dogs, birds and humans.

Sorry, couldn't get a booth they were already booked full, good thing I didn't, daughter forget it was this weekend and she went out of town last night and didn't come back until this afternoon. Since my vehicle is still down I have to rely on her for transport so I didn't even get to go the fair.

Oh well....maybe by the next one I will have my own wheels and not have to rely on anyone else!
