As an avid birder, I can understand why people are skeptical. I have never seen or heard of anything like this before so I have to admit that I am a little doubting.

Oh WOW!!!

I just wonder where the photographer was located that he was able to get a pic above the hawk at all. Ive heard some people say{ and I have always poo hooed it} that hummingbirds hitch a ride on the backs of ducks when they fly south. Ive never believed it but if that pic is real....... dry.gif

I think it says where he was when the photos were taken.

Keep in mind this photographer is well known in his field and considered quite reputable. He's won numerous awards. I highly doubt he'd risk losing his entire career/reputation just to photoshop some cool photographs. wink.gif

We have a marsh area next to my work where the red-winged black birds nest. I've seen them attack crows, ravens and hawks, but I've never seen them do that. crazy! ohmy.gif
