Al he really does is mumble, and we are are very clear with him.
He mumbles "hi" and "good bird" and "Yum Yum" and he can make other sounds perfectly.
My mom is perfectly happy with him just chirping, but I really want him to talk more. How can i make him pronounce his words, or make the correct sounds without someone's help? I am in summer school, but i have most of the afternoon and night to help train him. I try to "tease" him with food until he at least tries to make the correct sound. Is this a good idea? or is there shomething else i could/should do?
Any help would be fine!
Thanks- Mike G

practice, practice, practice and patience. some birds talk, some don't. some talk well, some don't. some don't care who is watching, some only talk when they think no one can hear them.
all you can do is keep talking to your bird, associating names with things (household items, tasks, foods, etc).
louie went from a very enunciated "good boy!" to "oo boy" lol.
good luck

It will probably get clearer. Most birds practice (mumble) for a while before getting it right. Some never get plain and some are pretty plain when they first try (usually when it's a bad word

)
Some never talk at all. Gotta love 'em just the same cause they are so darn cute!!!
