DYZZZ
wub.gif Hi,
My name is dyzzz and I live in Warrenville SC. I have enjoyed animals since I was little. I use to do dog shows with Whippetts (known as the poor mans greyhound) for fun and obediance trials. I currently have a black shepherd (a rescue) named Jena, a mix breed (whippett and lab cross, another rescue) named Cleatus, 2 cats, Maggie and Floss, a 75 gallon fish tank with an African Gobe, 2 budgies named dyz and jaz, a cockatiel named Jacks and my newest addition a Quaker named Brat. My tiel is 6 monthes old and quaker is 4 monthts old. I searched the internet looking for a small parrot (I do my research) and after reading all the fun and interesting things this site had to offer on the Quakers thats when I decided to go with one. Well its been a month and a half and I cant tell you enough how Brat has just wiggled his way into our hearts. Thank you all for a wonderful site!

Nothing thrills me more than to see that a fid lover has done his/her homework AND that they are loving what they found! It just doesn't get any better than that!

I had birds all my life, born and raised with them (I'm almost 71, but think I'm 25) and never owned a QP til 8 years ago and I can tell you, I have never had a bird that captured my heart and soul like my baby Kiwi.
I always call them babies, no matter how old they get, because they look like babies all their lives.

I can honestly say, they are like no other bird (and I have loved a LOT of different kinds). I do have a Sun Conure that I love dearly also, but there is something about the monster attitude of a Quaker that we just can't resist! laugh.gif

Did you mean African GLOBE fish? Isn't that like a striped Puffer? How big do they get. I used to have Figure 8 Puffers.

It's nice to have you here!!! I'm looking forward to pictures.
