Lilbourn, MO to Falconer, NY
AUG 9 & 10
We attempted this transport back in May. At the last minute, Sharlet was pulled from the transport because the vet determined her HW was too advanced for her to travel safely. Well, her treatment is now almost complete and the vet says she is good to go!!
PLUS the 2 puggle boys who have been fostering in Indianapolis for my rescue have found their forever homes in New York, so this transport picks them up en route and delivers them to the responsible rescue there.
UPDATE: We've now added one poor little fuzzy butt who is going to Fluffy Dog Rescue in WI. She's on this transport as far as Effingham, IL only.
Please help these 3 kids move on to their happily-ever-afters!!!
***Crossposting is greatly appreciated!!***

PASSENGER A-1:
NAME: Sharlet
BREED: Sharpei mix
AGE: 4 yrs.
WEIGHT: 40 lbs
GENDER: Female
ALTERED: Y, was just altered 08/04/08 so please be gentle!
PERSONALITY: (Very sweet dog, rides well). Sometimes she tries to get in front seat but firmly telling her no or making her stay in back seat will keep her there. She tends to try to get out of the car. You must have a firm hand and grip on her. If she keeps trying to get out while you are in the seat she NEEDS TO GO POTTY. She is strong. You must have a good grip on her leash at all times. She is not much of a barker.
I will provide a harness for her that will serve as her leash and also to restrain her in the car while traveling. Use it with a seat belt to keep her in the back seat.
WATER BOWL: Yes water and bowl provided.
CRATE TRAINED: will go in a crate and be ok but of course prefers not to.
HOUSE TRAINED: yes. I have a doggy door and she used it immediately.
CAR RIDING BEHAVIOR: (Rides well. only problem is when she needs to potty she will try to get out around the person....I learned that lesson. She gets very restless when she needs to potty.
VACCINATIONS: Yes, UTD; will include copy including her bordatella.
HEARTWORMS: Yes; has been undergoing treatment since May and has made enough progress that vet has spayed and cleared for travel.
DEWORMED: yes
HEALTH CERTIFICATE: Will be provided health certificate.
KNOWN MEDICAL OR BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS: She is very sweet. She has a low growl that is not to be mistaken for a GROWL she just makes that noise I have found. She is good with other dogs and cats. Don't know about kids.
OTHER ITEMS ACCOMPANYING TRANSPORT: I will provide her with food, water, bowls, treats and chewies. She will have her harness/seatbelt on. I will include folder with shot and health certificates. I also will have a name tag on her with my name and number.

PASSENGERS B-1 & B-2:
The Brothers McPuggle: Rusty & Sandy
Pug/Beagle mixes; approx 20-25 lbs each
Both male, neutered
Both UTD on shots and chipped
Crate trained; Housebroken
Rusty is the bigger snuggler of the 2
They play rough together.
Notes from their foster mom: "The boys ride great in the car...I usually just let them both sit together in the front passenger seat. They can also be crated together in a medium crate. Their 'recall' word is "FRONT", and they are pretty good at responding to that. Finally, they can be very hard to get a leash on them since they get so excited, so I'll send them in harnesses as well which may be easier to leash and unleash. "
