We watched the live ceremonies this morning, I agree it was fantastic! The torch lighting is just amazing!

I'll be glad when it's all over, well that's what I'm telling myself I also told myself that there was no way I was going to watch the opening ceremony either, but I saw most of it, apart from the bit where England came on, I had to go out then

I'm just glad it has started now, it seems to have been happening forever, with all the news about the trouble with the flame, it's just such a pity that politics has to come into it, I just hope this OGs arnt marred by drugs, let the best person win, where ever they're from

Well it must have been at a better time for you guys because I watched it (see Days of Our Lives thread ) from 10pm till 2 .30 am in the morning and boy was I tired today but still managed to watch a few events (Beach Volly Ball/Girls BasketBall/ Cycling and bit of weight lifting and tonight the swimming heats...The finals of the swimming will be on air in Australia at midday weired the finals are being held in the morning in China usually the finals are at night with heats during the morning ..
I am enjoying it but I am sure I will be all Olympic`ed out by the end ...The opening was wonderful..
Goodnight all its 10.30pm and I am off to bed (this is a good time for me as I am rather a night owl ) I will be reading for a couple of hours before I actually nod off..Have a good Saturday ours is over Sunday tomorrow...

That torch lighting was ........... WOW!!! Li Ning 'running' around the top of the stadium was just so cool!!! And the fireworks must have been deafening!! AWESOME but LOUD!! What a show!!! I'm looking forward to seeing the events.

We watched it also..You would think those girls would get so tired of dancing in those boots and heels. They were still going strong though.
