I just got 3 blue split Quakers and am a bit worried about the color of their feathers. They are molting but there seems to be dark "pied" type spots on their back and wings. It looks like when your Quaker gets wet except the feathers are dry. Im thinking it might be due to bad diet but if anyone has experianced this before id love some input.

I am not an expert but have read a lot on our little friends and it sounds like stress bars, which can be from anything including diet. How old are they? A picture would help as I am sure some of our expert members will come along soon.

Could be based on diet, or stress from the baby stage. Have you had them vet checked yet?
