Well, I just came home tonight, and after letting birds out, Wembley wanted nothing to do with me and was attacking me..and keeping me away from Gobo. They were in separate cages while I was gone, but I put their cages near each other to keep them company.
I put Wembley in cage and then spent time with Gobo...it was the only way, otherwise every time I took gobo on my shoulder, Wembley would literally fly on top of her...
I suppose it's normal that a bird, even a tiel, gets upset that you left for a while..Gobo is forgiving, she was asking for scritches, but Wembley wants nothing of that! I did manage to put him in his sleeping cage to start my regular routine with them again..and maybe a good sleep in tommorrow morning, will set things straight. Or maybe it'll take a while. Oh well, I so missed them!
I got Gobo a boing, and both birds a toy each.

Oh dear, I am leaving for a week, maybe 2 at the end of Sept and my birds are going to hate me when I get back!!!!
I hope Wembley settles right back down for you.

I can relate to that Carolyn....Harley literally goes beserk when he sees me having to leave the house for just a little while....If he could get to me I think he would tear up a lot of flesh....So I let him be and when I get back I give him time to settle down before handling him...He does get over it shortly....I guess it is because I'm home all the time and when I do have to leave he gets very upset....Our little goof balls are something else....

Awww, poor Wembley! Hopefully once he's back into his regular routine he'll go back to normal!

Or it could be because he's spent so much time near Gobo (but not in same cage)..he won't let me near her, he wants her, doesn't want me to be near her...I hope not. He bit me good on lip today...and sometimes he gets aggressive at Gobo too...when I'm near him..so maybe he's showing his dominance.
I kind of gave him a head scritch yesterday when I caught him easily in towel...just to remind him what he's missing.
