smile.gif bluequaker07.... I live in Hollywood, FL and rescued my wild 5-6 week old male QP "Dolce" from the street this past May. I am exactly DUE east of Ft. Meyers on the east coast of FL. between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale. In my neighborhood, I have discovered 10+ colonies within a few blocks of my house and can see 4 colonies from my home!!! I have observed that they prefer coconut palms or royal palms to build their nest colonies. Go to an area with those palms and listen for them! rolleyes.gif Actively "chatting" until 9:00 am and then from 4:00 pm until dusk. Shouldn't be a problem to find LOTS OF THEM! Look up into the palms for a ball like mass at the top of the trunk where the palm fronds begin.

I just moved to Tampa from Sarasota, and when in Sarasota I always saw a wild flock of quakers in downtown. They would hang out in different parks and tree areas, especially near palm trees.
I saw them mostly in the morning around 8am.
