I had to bring Truman to his temporary home earlier than planned; with all the airline messes lately, we switched to leaving for our cruise a day earlier. I'm happy to report that my little green chicken settled right in! I ended up using one of their cages but bringing his favorite toys and hut to make it familiar. He didn't like going in his carrier but chilled out quickly and took the new environment amazingly well. He was less interested in the fact that they have five other birds than I thought he would be. He's getting lots of attention from their daughter and has even accepted a diaper! I can keep in touch via email while I'm gone so I know how my baby is doing every day. When I get back, I wonder if he'll even want to come home...he's such an attention hound and he's getting petted and pampered a lot in his temporary digs, so I know he will expect the same when he's back home again.
