I have had Morgan for 12 years and he hates being alone. But if you leave one alone while you are at school I would suggest to get him lots of toys and give him good quality time when you are home. There are people on here who have QP's who work and go to school so I know it is doable.

I think the bird would be fine if you were just going to school and coming home. But you have to remember...if you are in sports and go out with your friends and stuff it might be unfair to the bird. Also, I'm not sure what your plans after high school are but this bird will be with you until you are almost 50 years old!! You will have to think about what you would do if you went off to college or moved to a place that didn't allow birds. I would suggest you wait until your life is settled and you are older. Good luck with your decision!

Both my husband and myself work full time and as long as the eating and sleeping schedule are relatively predictable and he gets lots of out of cage playtime when we are home he his fine. Creatures of habit I think.
