I snaped some shots of the fids in their cages today.

Here's Maya on her flagstone perch. She uses it more as a toilet than a perch so forgive.

The fids look great, Ron!!! I had to really look to find Tinker. Looks like she wasn't all that impressed with the camera

I said to myself "Self, 'bout time we had some new pix from the Zipper" and sure I was right, self agreed and the zipper came through with "flying colors"

Thanks UZ, those are great. I'm thinking about two of those stones for my fids. No telling what mine would use them for. We'll see.

Actually, I was trying to use the video feature on my camera because Maya was chattering up a storm. So I go in set up the camera and she just clams up. So I had to settle for some stills. I don't know how many times I've tried to get Maya talking on camera. She either yells at it or shuts up.

Carrie, thats Tinkers comfort spot. She sleeps there at night and snuggles there during daytime naps. It's funny, cause when she moves out of that spot, she turns and visciously attacks her snuggle buddy.

And I love the idea with the little ladders on the bottom... do they use them?

I'll admit I had just changed the paper that morning otherwise....

Yes Becky Maya does use her ladders. The larger one more than the smaller one. During her building phase (which hasn't returned since last winter) she would drag both the ladders up to her rock perch and wedge them tighly into her "nest". Buddy and Tinker's ladders are pretty much decorations only, given that they never use them.

While you're here stealing Maya, I'll be pocketing Pablo.
