Hi all,

I just wanted to say thanks again for all the well wishes. We brought Honeydew home on Friday as planned. I felt like a kid again. Needless to say she (I believe she's a girl, there's a 50% chance that I am right) was very quiet and probably even a little confused because this was a big change for her. When I introduced her to her cage she took to a perch and turned her back for the rest of the evening. She did find a much higher perch to sleep. By the way she's young but not that young. She's 12 weeks old and already eating some pellets but I got the formula to continue the hand feeding for a while until she really is eating food. It only took till Saturday evening for her to allow me to gently stoke her feathers and she will step up most of the time. I have just one question for now. Honeydew is very quiet. I know it's too soon for her to talk but what about 'parrot noises' ? When can I expect to hear her voice? Any insight would be appreciate. biggrin.gif

You might want to continue your questions on the Quaker Parrot only forum after your introductions as a lot of members tend to visit the introduction forum less often ..I just wanted to say Welcome (i missed your first introduction) to both you & Honeydew ..
