I was babysitting this lovely green little monster over the summer for his dad who took a extended over-seas holiday. He has since came back to Canada, but was offered a once in a lifetime job in South Africa and asked me to assist his best friend in finding a new home(or to keep him myself).

Although I love Buddha completely I am not at the point in my life where I feel it would be fair to adopt a parrot into my home permanently as to many things will be changing over the next few years. (Marriage, possibly human children, career, moves, etc.)

I am in NO RUSH to find Buddha a new home, as he is more then welcome to stay with me for as long as it takes for him to find/choose new people.

Buddha is 6 years old, has a great personality, extremely loved and spoiled (We are working on some training to give him more independence), he does over preen and pull feathers. He says a few words although they sound more like garble but he is working on it. Likes to dance, eat (what quaker doesnt!?), and kinda enjoys his showers. He is fully flighted and with proper supervision can fly around his bird safe room and other parts of the house safely. He would come with his own cage, familiar toys, supply of staple food and anything else I feel is necessary for his successful adjustment to a new family.

I am looking for his ideal family, he does not have a preference for men or women, although he was raised by a man. He is weary of children but respectful when the children respect him. He is ok with other animals, has not attacked any of my other birds, however they are only allowed to interact under strict supervision, he does not like cats but is not afraid of them either so again needs strict supervision. Because of his feather destruction habit it would be of great benefit to have prior parrot experience.

If you would like to learn more please message me I would be happy to talk in more detail about him.

Thank you.
