Hello Everyone I received my FREE biggrin.gif Samples of Roudybush pellets and Lafeber Pellets yesterday! Lafeber sent me all kinds of things! I will use their products for sure what a great company. rolleyes.gif OK so.. I have been feeding Lafeber pellets in one bowl and parakeet seeds,Zupreem fruit pellets, and a sprinkle of nuts, coconut mix, or apple bits in another bowl. Carly will nibble a little on the Lafeber pellets some I need to do the food conversion thing over to just pellets, but I have been lazy with school starting and all that. Ok but back to the subject! When I feed Carly one lil piece of the Roudybush Maintenance pellet SHE ATE the WHOLE THING!!! So I put a few more in her bowl on top of the Lafeber pellets and she gobbled them up! tongue.gif So I figured I would get off my rump and start the food conversion, but then I read the pamphlets that came with the Roudybush and noticed the maintenance is for ADULT Birds can Carly at 18 wks eat this all the time or will she get over weight? unsure.gif

If you're talking about the daily maintenance then I'd say yep. The daily maintenance is for weaning/juvenile birds and at 18 weeks (4.5 months), your bird would be classified as a juvenile smile.gif

Hope that helps.

A birds reaches adulthood around 2 years old to my knowledge. Both my birds were sexually mature at 2. So yes, an 18 month bird is not an adult but an adolescent.

I started my birds on pellets when they were 1 but I didn't use the Roudybush Maintainece diet. I used the Zupreme fruitblend then switched to natural as it resulted in molty colored poops.

My Guys all went onto Roudybush crumbles right from the start no problems ..I would say if she is eating them no problems at least it seems you will have no trouble with removing the seeds if she likes them...
