Blondie
Many of you remember Lucky - the Greater Sulphur Crested Cockatoo that came to us in Oct of last year - hes the same one that bit off our quakers beak in June of this year - sent our african grey to emerg surgery for stitches on her toe and the one who has bitten me so hard that I lost feeling in a thumb joint for almost 3 months lol

His life has not been an easy one and he has been shuffled about so many times, abused, neglected, almost starved, dehydrated - the list goes on and on - our goal was to rehabilitate him and adopt him out to a loving home, as a rescue this is what we do - we don't ever plan on keeping them all..but sometimes..the cards are dealt for us..because of his past and the issues hes had to deal with, after the accident with our quaker - we made the decision to adopt him into our home permanently(theres a post here somewhere)a long story smile.gif

I wanted to share his "before" and "after" photos - he has made an amazing recovery in his feather plucking - he still has the odd moment where one gets nipped, but he seems to be past the worst of it..the issues under his right wing are still ongoing and he will again be going in for tests on this..he has gained some weight as in the first photo you see he was about 45 grams underweight - dehydrated - suffering from almost every Vitamin deficiency you can think of and nails soooo overgrown his walking was not the best..
