My friend Lisa, her mom had a Yorkie, well she's the kind of person who buys animals then will get rid of them when she doesn't want them anymore. So her daughter Lisa took him. Well his name is Payton, he's 9 months old and a Yorkie, Lisa ended up not keeping him because her 4 yr old dog Jack was getting agressive towards him.

So I found him what I THOUGHT was his forever home. Well after being at his so called forever home for 1 night (mind you this is his 3rd home since he was born and he's 9 months old) this lady called me back and said it's not working out.

I had Payton over night and he's the BEST DOG in the world, seriously! He's very much a lap dog, he's almost completely potty trained, je liked to play and he needs to go to a home where HE'S THE ONLY DOG!! This lady is saying that her dogs don't get along with him. Well, when he spent the night at my house, my dog didn't get along with him either, but you need to give it time. But seeming that I don't want this dog to be rehomed AGAIN, it's best that he goes to a home where he's the ONLY dog and the center of attention like he needs. He really just wants to be loved. When I dropped him off at this ladies house he gave me the "WHY ARE YOU LEAVING ME" look and I literally cried. I feel so bad for Payton cause he is a GREAT dog, but people that already have dogs, their dogs don't like him and no one wants to give him a chance...

So anyways, I'm in Illinois, is anyone out there interested in a 9 month old Yorkie named Payton? I will not let him go to a home where there are other dogs though.

Please email me if you are!

Gar!

I would sooo take him in a nano-heart beat but I don't have a yard (I'm in an apartment) and I promised myself not to get a dog without at least renting a house.

Good luck finding a forever home! Yorkies are awesome and I know you can find him someone great!

I don't have dog, but I do have 4 cats and I plan on adding one more cat which will be another bengal. I would be afraid my cats would get hurt. Good luck on finding him a home. This is a sad story!

I he gets along with other dogs, but the other dogs are the problem so far, why not consider being ok with dogs that are great with other dogs.

I would take him if one, I didn't have two Yorkies already and two my husband would go for it. I don't think you should rule out him being able to interact with other dogs. Yorkies tend to do best with other dogs their size, weight and temperment. I have found that some yorkies only do well with other yorkies.

Also sometimes what looks like aggression is only really rough play. I have heard my two sound like they are going to tear each other up. They come out of it, and go back for more all the time. They are so playful. Seriously it would be great if you could bring him here just to see how he could fit into a home with other dogs. My guys would welcome hime hands down with kisses and play. I have a 1 almost 2 year old large 15 lb yorkie AKC and a tiny 6 almost 7 lb yorkie also registered. Both fixed which reduces aggression. One has allergies and gets allergy shots and is on a medication. The more I think about this the more I wish this could happen, as I am a yorkie person. I have been raised with them and know their personalities inside and out.
