Hello everyone,

My ~1 year old Quaker Lola has been exhibiting some very odd behavior that the usual beak-grab doesn't seem to stop.

She used to be in a cage with our other Quaker, Milo, but she started getting very aggressive if we put our hands in there. (Both me and my girlfriend.) So we decided it would be best for everyone (...All of our fingers) to separate them.

So we did, and she stopped the cage aggression...temporarily.

Now that she's comfortable again, it seems at random intervals, she will suddenly get very very aggressive (I've read about bird rage, and it's borderline that.) Until she is completely subdued or the one who she is angry with is out, she will continue to do her "INFIDEL" scream.

Now I have ruled out clothing. I know that she does not like hats or long sleeves, but I know that she is fine with/without glasses.

Once she is out of the cage, she instantly calms down and becomes my little sweety again. I even make sure to be in a good mood and keep calm whenever I'm around them. I just do not understand.

Is it teenager hood? Do I just need to keep being patient? I've also read about the change in the seasons, but it's been going on for more than 4 weeks.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated

Quakers are notorious for being cage aggressive. It's just a Quaker thing. Try letting her come out on her own,
and then working with her in an area away from her cage.

Yeah, sounds like cage aggression issues. Kermit, my QP does it too. I have to wait for him to come out on his own time and I can only pick him up if he is on the top of his cage, or rarely, the front door that unfolds.
