Well, many of you here know Tarot my Scarlet Macaw, but I dont think you all know about Ollie the Red Fronted Macaw. She is not really mine, but my roommates and thus very close to Tarot and I. I just got some very nice pictures and wanted to share, hope you dont mind LOL

The beaks are not as scary as you would think. My TAG bites me harder and more frequently, and he is a well behaved little guy. They can make some noise, but my Goblin the Quaker is a more ambitious screamer and greater annoyence LOL.

When you get a macaw as a little baby and are part of the raising process (not the hand feeding just interacting as they wean) you grow to understand that there is nothing to be scared of your own bird. In my opinion a strange quaker is MUCH scarier then a strange macaw. I am much more likely to try and pick up and play with a macaw then an unknown quaker.
