Does anyone of your quaker`s sneeze? My Max does it now and then, it`s quite cute actually.. Just hope its normal..
Majj
Yep !! the occassion sneeze is cute and normal I guess birdies get the need to sneeze too as long as its dry and no discharge from the nares... smile.gif

My quaker doesn't sneeze, but I've noticed that my caique sneezes A LOT! I've wondered if it's normal...or "ok" as well. We just had him at the vet two weeks ago, and that was actually before I noticed he sneezed so much, but all his blood work and tests came back fine. No discharge from his nares, so is he just allergic to us or what??? unsure.gif

Clyde sneezes about every day, and usually when he's been preening and has tossed bird dander all over creation. I assume he gets some in his nose and is sneezing it out. And sometimes he's faking it, copying us, which he thinks is very cute because he often chuckles afterward.
donut
No sneezing here.
Donut has not sneezed since we have had him.
Not to say that we havent seen/heard it.

As Majj says, so long as its a dry sneeze or as Siobhan says a mimic sneeze.

Rico sneezes too, but only in the morning when he wakes up or after his nap. When he is playing, eating, spending time with me he does not. Its wierd that it only happens after he sleeps, but I guess that is just the way he is.

Quick rule on sneezing: Dry sneezes perfect
Sneezes with slight moiture or a bit more then slight ok as long as it doesn't persist.
Sneezes that are wet, leave a crusting, or that are so persistant the bird can't catch his/her breath: See the Vet ASAP.

I have only heard Kiwi sneeze a couple of times in my 9 yrs of him owning me. They aren't wet sneezes just cute little sneezes.. wub.gif

Yep, Kermit sneezes here. Not often, but most after a bath, probably because he gets sprayed and undoubtedly gets moisture in his nares. Every once in a while, sneezes after preening too.

I haven’t heard my Quaker sneeze but he imitates me sneezing when I go through one of my sneezing fits. He thinks that he is funny and he’s right.

Pickles is my first wet sneezer, not like this:

She just sneezes and it's a little wet but she hardly ever does it and she just went to see the vet for a check up so I don't think I have anything to worry about (that and there isn't any discharge on her nostrils or anything)

I just think it's adorable that cute little "chew" sound they make when they sneeze wub.gif

I'm glad someone said something about a little wet sneezing because. Coby sneezed on me today and it freaked me out. His nostrils are clear though and no crusting. But he did do it three times, really quick, right in a row.

Yeah I really don't think you have anything to worry about if your bird sneezes and it's wet. But I agree with Cheryl , if you see any discharge or any other symptoms than you need to get a vet appointment.
Trixie
Yup, SweetPea sneezes. It's so cute!

Flirt started sneezing shortly after going home with my friend. She would sneeze often according to my friend.

The first couple of weeks I had her, she did a "LOT" of wet sneezing, but it was clear fluid. My friend had her vet checked, and her health was fine. The vet said to keep an eye on her, and watch for colour in the fluid, and any crusting over of the nares. Not to worry about the odd clear sneezes.

Guess what.. she hasn't sneezed in a couple of weeks now smile.gif

My friend had a b&g macaw, and an african grey.. I think Flirt was just sneezing out the birdy dust heheehehe.

There's only her, Yogi, and Rayray here, so not a lot of feather dust floating around.

I think she was allergic to the big birds laugh.gif
Siobhan
Clyde sneezed wet once, which startled me and him both (he went SQUAWK! afterward laugh.gif ) but usually it's just a cute little "achoo!" and Bonnie does it, too, once or twice a day.
