I have a 4 year old Quaker named Bud I obtained from someone that kept him in a dark garage cause he made too much noise. I think to them it was a Pet of the moment and not a dedicated pet lover such as I. This is my first parrot and I can't believe how loving they can seem.

I've always owned dogs and cats. Which I lost my cat and my Collie this year and most of my focus has been on my bird. I've really been working on his speech but I'm afraid it may be late. But he wants to bite everyone but me and makes really cute sounds when on my shoulder and grooming me lol.

I don't cut his wings so he is airbourn a lot and I've taken protective measures so he doesn't hurt himself. I find I really look forward to his company when I get home. I call him Fatboy cause he fluffs up all the time and my Daughter finds it amusing.

Well I wanted to say Hi and tell ya about my bird. Hope to chat with ya soon.

You're going to be amazed, if you aren't already, at how much personality that little bird has and how much you will be in love with him before you even realize what's happened! wub.gif Welcome! I'm so glad you've got him now and he's out of that garage. How awful that must've been for him. I don't think my Clyde is noisy at all, even when he's having his morning squawk. First thing in the morning, as yours might do, too, Clyde just goes berserk for a couple of minutes and that's pretty much that for the day. After that, he just chirps and whistles and talks (I don't always understand everything he says!). That's not "noisy"!!!
