Full Version: African Violets Safe For Birds

I have a nice plant room with quite a few African violets. I have moved his small cage in there, so he can play, and I don't need to worry that my killer Miniature Pinscher will get near him. I have read that they are not toxic to birds, but want to know if anyone also has violets. I don't always totally believe everything I read, and want to keep Chili Safe.

Here is a good site: First you will see dangerous plants and below that are Safe Plants

Here is another site that I found. I have African violets too, so this was of major interest to me.

Looks like they are bird safe. Yay!

We have a lot of African Violets in our house too... but Casey never goes near them (she never flies off her cage) good to know they are safe though! smile.gif
