I am looking to buy a new cage for Tink before or after Christmas. Where did you purchase your cage, or do you know of a great website?
Also what is the maxiumn bar spacing for Quakers?
Thanks in advance,
Sherri

Good Morning,
Yesterday I ordered a new cage for my QP! I have attached the link for the exact cage I got. Queen City Pets has the best price that I found and Free Shipping. The price posted is what you pay.
http://www.queencitypets.com/8002422.aspFrom reading this wonderful forum 5/8 is the recommended bar spacing. The cage that I ordered states 3/4, but it is actually 5/8 as other members on this board have the same cage.
Good Luck on your quest for a new cage.

I'm a sale/thrift/second-hand freak. I found my 2 cages for the price of one, brand new on craigslist. The woman used them for one week and her quakers hated them. Their loss, Marla is in Heaven!
I had already asked for one new cage for Christmas, so my hubby was happy to oblige me at the price I paid. I did clean everything really well just in case, but they are really nice cages.

Click to view attachmentLucky Duck on the craigslist deal. The cages I have found on craigslist were rusted out and not worth a dime or the people are trying to make back all of there money on a cage that is 4 or 5 years old. I just couldnt justify paying $150.00 for a cage that was 3 or 4 years old so I went ahead and got a new one.

I got mine on eBay. It is a beautiful "Cal Cage" with 2 tops that can be used interchangably - a dome and a play top. I have the play top on it now. SweetPea loves it. I have a boing going from the play top to the ceiling and he thinks it's perfect. I paid $100. The previous owner of the cage bought a bigger one for her African Grey.

I just paid $75 on a brand new cage that Skip seems to really enjoy! It's alot more space friendly for the apt.

Naughty me STILL hasn't gotten pics posted yet though...

Well I'm still working on an uphill battle with getting everything squared away with my wholesellers, but sooon I will be able to show you what I have to offer. Once I get everything squared away I'll be sure to put up a post, and I'll slide you a coupon too!

I got mine from this site.
http://www.mybirdcage.com/dometop_parakeet_cage.html It is perfect for my sun conure because she loves to hang upside down from the dome top. But I think Quakermom2B also has the cage listed on this thread as the play top. It is a nice cage.

I'm bumping this back up because we are looking to get a new cage as well (all the ones on our craigslist are too small!). What are some more links to reputable, online cage stores? Thanks!

A lot od the places that state 3/4" are measuring from center of the bar to center of the next bar ..where as the actual space is the concern so in theory the actual space is only 5/8 "
All the above look like good size cages for a Q.P..
