flaps' mom
So me and my boyfriend both have quaker parrots and we decided to let them meet. I brought Flaps over to Hops' house and Hops seemed intrigued to meet a new friend but as soon as he got close my Flaps started attacking him with his beak and we have to seperate them.

How come, will we ever be able to have them play together.were not trying to mate them or anything were just trying to have them be friends and preen each other when they see each other.

Best introduce on neutral ground I would say Hops was defending his territory . Maybe go to a friends place with them..most birds will beak each other to sort out who is top bird as long as its more playful than fighting..Can you have them in the same room but not together maybe take things slow and just have them around each other but not together..
Good luck I am sure some others will come along with their thoughts...
and WELCOME to the group..
