Hi all ..

I'm looking for a toy hook .. kinda like the ones you find attached to cage top playpens. I know I've seen them online, but now that I need one, I can't find it again.

Does anyone have a source or know where to look?

Thank you in advance for any assistance!

Teresa

Teresa, I have purchased 2 different types of toy hooks online. One I absolutely ADORE but I cannot find the link to it tonight, it is powder coated, heavy duty, attaches to the side of the cage and hangs well above the playtop.

I bought 2 of the good ones about 5 years ago, needed a couple more and lost the link, I found this link I'm about to give you and bought these instead-I'm posting to let you know-DO NOT ORDER-you will not be pleased. These are very thin and flimsey. The bottom part is sharp and will cut a bird. But the main thing is that the hook will not stand up, it falls over! I ended up throwing them away they were so bad. Here are the ones I do not recommend. http://birdcages4less.com/page/B/PROD/PA5762

The fantastic ones are from a cage company called Feathersomething I believe. They are about $15 apiece but well worth it. When I rediscovered them again I bought 4 more and have used them all up-on playgyms and cages. I need more now-LOL.

I have to work in the morning, just got up because I couldn't sleep and read your post. I will look for my invoice from them when I come in from work on Sunday evening and post it. You will be very pleased with them-I promise. Bren

To Birdybren ... I'd love the name of the company if you can find it .. thanks!!

To Frankie's Mom ... I saw that after I posted here, I want to compare it to the ones BirdyBren has.

Thanks to you both!!

I found it!!! Its The Feather Farm and here is the link:

I've got them on my cages and playgyms, I'll try to post a pic of it on one of my gyms. My bluecrowned conure loves to sit on top of it even, its very sturdy!

Oh, I just noticed when I looked back over my post-I have both hangers there in this pictures!!! The small flimsey one is down front on the shorter gym, see how it is falling over to the left? The top 2 long tall ones are the good ones. They are 3x as long, sturdier, much better. Just thought I'd let you know. Bren

Seriously!! That's a VERY impressive set up .. have to make sure my FID doesn't see that or I'm in BIG trouble!!!
Birdybren
Ringo, you are invited to my house anytime!!!!! I have a female quaker who would love to have a playdate! But I'm sure your mommy would be too sad for you to live here so I'll tell her how to make the gym.

The back gym was actually a $49 table gym I got at a bird fair, I added 2 laddars to it, then the front gym I got on special at Bird.com for $39, I pushed it in front. Then I added the toy hooks. My birds love it!!!! I love to do this kind of thing-get small pieces and place them together.

Teresa, glad to get the link for you! I may just have to order me a couple more also, never know when they may come in handy. Bren
