I'm getting a bit worried about Simon. This is the third morning this week that he's come out of his cage only to sit on his parrot stand and put his lil head under his wing and go back to sleep. Don't think he's been eating well either, seems like most of his fresh food is still in his bowl everyday. Also he's been uncharacteristically quiet for the past few days. Should I take him to the vet??? He just had a vet visit 2 weeks ago and all was fine, but now I'm concerned! Could it just be the time change?

Well, I called the vet and they want to see him, so he's going in at noon for the afternoon so they can work him in. There goes another big chunk of money...but who cares as long as he is ok! I'm so worried.

I was just going to say to take him to the vet! I know it's expensive, but it's worth it!!

Oh poor Simon, yeah I'd take him in, it might be nothing but just in case it isn't it's good to know for sure. Keep us posted about him I wanna know how he does.

Well, they are having to work him in, so he's there now...and I'm worried sick cuz when we put him in his little carrier, he just huddled in the corner, which he NEVER does. He usually loves going in there because we take him on outings quite often, and he usually gets in there and makes all sorts of noise and chews the sides and plays "peekaboo" with me. Not today...just quiet as a mouse.

On a lighter note, we went to the pet shop after dropping him off to get him some treats and a new toy for when he gets home, and I'm having a MAJOR case of MBS!!! They had the most beautiful light blue quaker in there I've ever seen, and she (just guessing she, since it was such a sweet bird...lol) was so gentle playing with my fingers thru the bars. Ofcourse I had to get her out, and she was just a little doll. Ran up my shoulder and made little sqeaking noises in my ear. Hubby had to drag me out...LOL.
