Full Version: From Macaws To Quakers!
Quaker Parrots Forum > Welcome! > Introductions
Razzle
Hello all....we just brought home a nine month old quaker named Razzle and are all getting use to each other. My daughter is six and my wife is only a couple days older (ha, ha). I use to rescue big birds and have experience with macaws and cockatoos, but my wife is afraid of them. Emma (daughter) wanted a bird and plays with a hyacinth macaw, but chose Razzle.

He's a lot of fun and I am looking forward to training him a bit more than he is and hopefully (but not necessarily) increasing his vocabulary.

I want to post a picture, and will do so after I figure out how to reduce the 1.5 meg image!

Mark, Emma and Raz....oh yes...Lizbeth (mommy) too!

Welcome to the forum! I think you will fall in love with your new quaker. I'd always wanted a big bird, but my HUBBY is afraid of them...lol...so we got the next best thing...a little bird with a HUGE personality! We also have a caique who fits into that category. Can't wait to see pics!
Razzle
I brought home a umbrella cockatoo that a friend had to give up and it chased my wife into the bathroom where she called me on her cell phone. I can't get her next to a big bird now. Yes, these little guys seem to have a big personality. I will get his pic on here soon

Oh wow I've dreamt of having a macaw
but a: need more experience, b: need more money
and c: need more time to be at home if I did have one ^^

but its great that you got a quaker, any questions don't
hesitate to ask. I'm still finding out something new basically
everyday here.
