I have to tell someone and I can't call hubby cause he is alone at work and can't leave.
My little City Kitty Sydney didn't come home on Satruday night. That is not like her. I spent yesterday looking thinking maybe she got in a closet and was just sleeping. I set out again this morning calling for her and combing every inch of the woods.
I found her. I found what was left of her. I know it's her becaue of the fur., She was a little petite kitty with a ton of fluffy black fur. i feel so awful. I am sick. She never left the yard she always came when she was called. I knew it was not going to be good but I was hoping I would find her hurt and unable to get home.
I let my baby down. I let her get out at night.
I guess I knew yesterday. The dog sat at the back door and cried. Everytime she heard a noise she ran to check it out. Bothe Indy and Apolis called for her all day.
I used to think that was so cute but I dont know if I can handle it if they start calling her today.
I still expect to look out the window and see her prancing up the driveway.
City Kitty I am soo sorry.

Thank you everyone.
I am still not in a good way but I need to give an update.
When my hubby got home yesterday I showed him what I thought was my City Kitty and took him to the spot where I found it. Yes it. He said he didn't think it was her.
I called my vet's office who said the vet wouldn't even look at it to confirm if it was a cat. Too gross they said. Time to find a new vet!!!!!!! This is one of my babies I was talking about. They also brought up the subject of rabies. My kitty was up to date with everything but something rabid might have gotten her and now we breathed it in. They told me to call animal control and have them come take (her).
I contacted the animal control officer in town and she asked more then the vets office. She said she didn't think it was my baby but she would call another guy and they would come to the house.
They both came over and looked. She looked at it very strange then the guy looked at it. Before he even took it out of the bag he said he didn't think it was a cat. After examining it he said it was a racoon. A small one who for some reason had mostly black hair with no rings on it's tail. They also said the poor critter had been dead for some time and if there had been rabies it was too old and we shouldn't worry.
They were honest about our chance of finding Sydney in the area we live in. Coyote, bobcat, fox, fisher cat, hawks, and eagles. I know all these things. I also know that we may never know but I am praying for a miracle.
I lived in this area for years. I had another cat that would get out and be gone for days at a time then show back up like nothing had ever happened. At that house we had a bobcat living in the building behind the house. We used to see it.
I know that God above has much bigger things to take care of but please say just a small prayer that my Sydney comes back home safely.
Thanks for hearing me out. I know I am rambling. Not much sleep in 2 days.

Ann,
Maui and i both said a prayer for you and Sidney today. Maui learned to pray when baby Joy was so sick. Each day i would tell him it was time to say a prayer for Joy and i would bow my head. He would get quiet and i would say the prayer. At the end, I would say " In Jesus's and he would say Name, Amen. Tonight i told hiim we had to pray for Sidney. He held still and at the end he said Name, Amen. I am sure that God heard him.

Ann, saying prayers that you find your little kitty and she is ok.
I do believe in miracles because my cat was gone for 3 weeks one time. I posted flyers everywhere, went to people's houses, I did everything........everyday I would call for her. After 3 weeks, one day I heard a meow, so I followed it. There was my de-clawed cat up in a tree.............

Thank you everyone human and birdie. There is still no sign of her. I spent most of the day on the phone with vets, shelters, animal control. Anyone and everyone. Each person I spoke with was so nice. Most of them had gone through the same thing. They gave me others names and numbers to call to report her missing.
When I wasn't on the phone I was walking the woods or hanging flyers all around town. She is going to be one famous kitty if she comes back. I even stopped into the fire station and told them to keep an eye out if they got any calls for cats stuck in trees.
I walked the neighborhood tonight talking to everyone that was out. Two of my neighbors also have cats. They come over to my yard all the time. None of their cats are missing.
The only neighbor who I didn't speak with lives right next door. I put a flyer in her door. She didn't even acknowledge it. I was outside when she left again. I started to get up from my deck to go talk to her and she stuck her nose up in the air and turned her back. WITCHY WOMAN
I know it's possible she may show back up but I am so heartsick. Between me, my son, or my husband one of us is continuously looking out the window or opening the back door to see if she's there. The dog goes out and barks towards the end of the driveway. If Sydney was sitting down there Coco would always bark at her as much as to say get back in this yard. Sydney would always stroll up the driveway and rub noses with Coco. Both Indy and Apolis have been calling her when I open the front door. It bothered me the first day but now I tell them you go right ahead you tell your Sydney to come home. They yell even louder.
It hasn't been a week yet, I have search every inch of woods that I can get to. There are no signs of other animals and no sign of her. I am hoping that is good.
Thanks again for your prayers. I will let you know if anything changes.
Love ya all
Ann
